I know, we discussed frontend category editing and agreed 3 hours work and you delivered the category editing.
Along the way though (pages 5 & 6 of the thread) I asked about allowing people to move their files between categories or delete them, not just their own files but also those created by other users.

You asked for extra payment which I paid.

But that was the issue discussed before I paid for the additional work, have them able to edit / delete each other’s categories (done) and able to edit / delete each other’s file packages.

Even if they are just able to change the category that a file is stored in I could accept that.

Any news on this last step guys?

Many thanks …. on the first point, previously, she could see any documents uploaded by other people, not just those that she uploaded, which is what seems to be happening now.

The request to prevent people to not be able to delete the top level categories
– This isn’t quite what was intended.
– I’d suggested to perhaps hide the edit & delete buttons for any top level categories but I see that these buttons are also hidden for all other categories too (i.e. the sub-categories of the top level categories).
– The sub-categories are what the front end user is permitted to create and so they should be able to also edit & delete them
– So the category edit & delete buttons only need to be hidden for the top level categories.
– At the moment I have three of these but would need it to be generic so that if I ever add a 4th top level category, it would still behave the same.
