By doing that – that seems to have worked. However, I don’t understand why the posts are getting set to scheduled. I don’t have a date or a field in the import csv file that should be setting it.

However, after you mentioned the time and using a backdate – along with the time zone. I did some digging, I found the server is running UTC timezone – while wordpress was set to Eastern time zone. Changing WP to match that of the server corrected the issue. I can up my test import file and it works as planned.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it – I would have been banging my head at this for a while.

Even if I go from the quick edit menu, which is the only place that allows me to choose the status of posted – once I select posted and click save. Nothing happens, the post remains at the status of scheduled.

That is the thing, it should not be scheduled. There is nothing in the import that sets the post to be scheduled. I don’t even have the option of going into the post and changing it to posted.

I can go into the post and change it from scheduled to draft. but then the only option again is to change to scheduled – there is no post option when doing a bulk import.

The time zone and all the things you pointed out I have done.
