cheers mate as always.
cheers mate, worked a treat.
I disabled all plug ins except for WPDM and the WPDM – Extended shortcodes. Still very slow. takes about 10 seconds to load.
second attachment, shows it loaded.
first screenshot shows how it is displayed for about 10 seconds.
As said previously, I’m unable to provide a temporary login in my previous posts.
I went through and made sure my version was up to date, which it was…
BUT I did find that the extended shorts code addon had an update…
As our website is being used as an internal intranet we don’t get notified that there updates..
So seems like its going good now that that is also updated. Rookie mistake on my behalf. Thank you for your assistance though.
Just a suggestion, maybe bundle the extended short codes addon with the paid for version of your addon.. will help with confusion.
Thank you for your help.
also did a fresh wordpress install with the latest version of the download manager plug in…
still comes to a landing page…
unfortunately because we use the addon on our Intranet, a temporary logon is not possible… Is there an alternative to getting a logon?
Is there anything I can check to get it going?
with [wpdm_tree download_link=1], this is what happens,
I go to the test page I have created and inserted the <span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>[wpdm_tree download_link=1] shortcode,</span>
click on the folder, then the pdf, and it still takes me to a landing page (shown below)
What I want to do is, click the pdf file from the [wpdm_tree], and just get the download option straight away (shown below)
[I took this image by going to the landing page, clicking on the download link and then going back to the [wpdm_tree] to show what i want it to do]
unfortunately it doesnt seem to do anything differently to [wpdm_tree]
you can do it tho with this sister-addon;
https://wordpress.org/plugins/taxonomy-terms-order/ unfortunately isn’t an option…
it only allows the taxonomy to be ordered (the categories)
are you saying there is absolutely no way we can order the files?
it also seems that the administrator cant even see all the documents from the package front end…
this is logged in as administrator;
here
this is logged in as user (who uploaded documents)
here
as you can see…. the admin cant actually see all the packages where as the user who uploaded them can see the majority.
Ive added permission and other roles from front end, users are still unable to access the page….
it just comes up with a red line. (http://imgur.com/rDfdTHS)
unfortunately, our website is being setup as a dev-server and isn’t accessible for a temporary log in..
its an intranet… thus why we need all users to be able to replace documents if necessary.
are you able to post the change in code here? id be happy to change it myself
Ive also modified the users to have the same permissions as the admin, but this still wont allow them to upload/replace documents.
like what if a user uploaded a document, they’re sick one day, and a new document needs to be replaced…
without access to the original uploaders login details, it wont be able to be uploaded and replaced that day..
is it possible to make it that any one could edit them at all?
i have found removing the spacing between page name has fixed this.
changing the information here seemed to have fix it.
i dont think this is a theme issue,
i do need help with this please Shaon
after a few tests;
ive found that its being given different address….
when i manually go through the tree, and find the pdf, it gives me the adress of :
/Document%20Finder/application-for-leave-pdf/
when i search the same document, the address goes to:
/Document Finder/application-for-leave-pdf/
obviously the %20 could be causing the issue?
When will the new version be out with the instantly download option?
unfortunately as ive said in a previous post (http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/instant-download-skip-download-page-uploading-from-front-end/) my website is being setup as an intranet, its not possible for it to be accessed outside our network..
this is the process below;
http://imgur.com/dMzXagO – searching “leave”
http://imgur.com/NwJRF3h – “leave” search bringing up form I wanted as you can see it circled.
http://imgur.com/Ci1TSB2 – clicking on search results just make download do nothing other than sit there thinking.
http://imgur.com/4gLNiZn – will time out after some time.
i need a template to make my downloads instantly download… to completely bypass the intermittent download page (this one http://imgur.com/5yivxb4) are you able to help me to do this without access to the backend?
All i want to do is when your press on a file from the [wp_tree], it just go straight to a download.
