#widget: what would it cost? I would want it and if you have to do some customization, then I guess it makes sense to allow an option, where one can edit the opening code and the closing code (if neccessary it still could be an ul or it could be a div or it even could be a table).
#search: again I would prefer it, if the search does not run without hitting the search button – but on that note: how would I change the format of the list of search results?
#audioplayer: thank you, that is much better!

Regards and thank you for your help

the second link is glory.cgdu.de/downloads

Hey again Shaon,

good to hear you are alive ๐Ÿ˜‰

# widget: the problem is, that I can not change the format of the list created. If you have a look at the page glory.cgdu.de you’ll see, that below the video-center there is the widget. It presents the last five downloads in two collumns. I don’t want that, I want it in a row and for that reason I need to take out the ul (unordered list) and li (list item) tags – I guess.

# search: if you go to glory.cgdu.de/downloadfs you’ll see, that the search is performed (without any arguments) as the page is loaded. That returns “all packages”. This doesn’t really makes sense, but if that is normal just let me know what the customization would cost and then let’s go for it.

# the code displayed with the audio player: if you go to http://glory.cgdu.de/download/unser-fundament you’ll see that next to the buttons of the audioplayer there is a piece of code (/is/htdocs/wpFZSTQAHIUX/www/cgnew//mp3/EB2012/12 09 23) If that is standard then please let me know what a customization would be and let’s go for that as well …

I am sitting on an airplane for the next few hours and will be looking for your reply as I am back online….

Thanks again and best regards …

Dear Shaon,

could you please let me know how long I have to wait until the issues will be dealt with? I mean – at least some information would help to make me feel like there is somebody out there ….

Or would you rather recommend that I try to solve my demands using a different plugin?
Best regards

Hey Shaon,

somehow I don’t know why I get stuck with my problem. I mean if it is for me to buy a support ticket or anything like that just let me know the price. The problem I am having is, that I would like to launch our site, but first I want to see the more obvious issues solved. For my feeling it is a bit awkward to leave the widget as it is (in terms of design on our frontage), it just hurts my eyes a bit – I guess you can understand it. And as mentioned before it is all about the “unordered list”, If you don’t find time I can understand that, but it really would be nice if you just let me know where to look to solve that issue.

The other two things are almost as important: I mean the search function should not be performed when the page containing the search button loads; it should only perform a search when the user requests so …

I could live with the strange code displayed in the audio_player for a while but would like that solved as well.

You know, it really would make me feel understood, if I get a better understanding of how long I have to wait and what the problems are, because I really don’t want to be nagging at all….

Thanks for your understanding

Would be great, looking forward to see the change ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank you!

Ok, when I look into the source-code of the page I can see, that the widget is in div’s and then it displays the Title of the IWdget. Now right after the title it will ad an ul (unordered list) and the the li (list item). Then it calls the link template, that is specified in the widget settings. After every every instance it closes the li item and at the end it closes the ul.
My problem are the ul’s and the li’s. I actually don’t need them, but I can not change them, switch them off or anything. Can that be changed in the functions.php, or do you have any other clue?

Please just a simple answer may help me big time …

Thanks again

Hey Shaon,
as I have mentioned before, I am even willing to pay for some development (after ourchasing the plugin and the first add-on). Actually I also wanted to get the other add-ons. I still do need some feedback from you side though. I just feel a little forsaken, since I do not hear back from you…
I am on my way to solve the initial problem, but may still need some help there as well as concerning the two other issues I mentioned. Please do not leave me alone on that …

Thank you again

Hey Shaon,

sorry to come back again. I am still waiting to hear back from you. I really like the plugin, but need some help to have it working the way it actually should (I guess). Let me just share a few more problems I have encountered while waiting for your help.

As I mentioned, the search option (of the WPDM-Directory Add-onn) does not really work like it should. What I mean is, that when a users gets to the page, where the Archive would be displayed, the search will automatically be performed as the page loads, without klicking the search-button. It then says “loading” and the result will bring up all files, that are available for downloading. So I assume that it performs a search with no options – if that makes sense.

Another problem, that I have, is related to the audio_player tag. When I use it in a link-template it works fine. In the page-template it will cause the player to display a line like this “/is/htdocs/wpFZSTQAHIUX/www/cgnew//mp3/EB2012/12 09 23” which obviously is the internal server path for the file.

I am not sure, if this are all the problems, but I will just keep on trying to get you help and attantion on the issues. Thank you for your help in any case, I do understand, that it is a lot of work.

Hey again, don’t want to be bothering but have another question: just bought the WPDM-Directory Add-on and have installed it. It seems to me, that the search function does not work. Could that be a problem on the server side or do you have any other thought? If you want to check, the link is: http://glory.cgdu.de/online-shop/downloads

As you have any news fro me about the former issue I would be extremly thankful …;)

Best regards

Hi Shaon,

When I use the newly created link template all I can see (instead of the link) on the homepage is a some letters and numbers like this: 507AE2C12808B
I have set up the widget to display two links – both links have the same result: a row of letters and numbers.
By the way: the link template will work if used to display a category…

I also tried to set the widget up to use the “widget links” template, that is build in. This template would work, but now I do have problems formatting the text. I can change the php-file in templates, but I can not change the the tags for ul (unformatted list) for example, like assigning a class, because these tags are not defined in the template. But this would be really helpful …

in reply to: New Packages Widget #2471

Hi and good morning….

just tried it, but if you have another look, you’ll see, that something doesn’t work. I don’t understand what it is, but the links created don’t work at all ….

in reply to: New Packages Widget #2463

Now I di one more thing and will leave it like that until tomorrow. I have activated the widget and if you have a look at http://glory.cgdu.de you’ll see, that I need some changes in the formatting. I would like the widget to look like the grey boxes below the widget, or at least a format that suites the layout of our site better …. So if you have an idea you are very welcome …

Thanks again

Martin

in reply to: New Packages Widget #2462

Ok, I’ll try my best (it is late here in Germany;)

I want to use the “new Packages Widget”. I would like to put it in the Head Area. But I need a certain formatting. When I look into the source code the Title is displayed as a div which has the id=head-area-widget. Would it be possible to ad an additional div that has an additional id, that would help defining attributes?

Also it would be really helpful, if I could alter the code, that is generated before and after the query, that reads the newest packages. That would allow for more freedom in formatting.

I hope I am not to complicated, but English is not my native language either, so I just hope you understand. In the worst case I might have to buy one or two hours of programming ….

I need to go to bed now, tomorrow is a long day!

Thank you for all effort ….

martin
