sorry only offline testing at the moment – in our live site we have 4.1.8 and everything works fine. When updating to 4.2 still this error occurs.

Ok, you solved this but unfortunately created another Problem.

No matter what php version – when we put the wpdm shortcode e.g. [wpdm_package id='1829'] in a page she result looks like this on this page:
