I really thought I had a pro version installed, but the plugin doesn’t say pro and I looked at our licenses & didn’t see the url assigned to any of our purchases. I wonder if it got disconnected somehow. That must be the issue then because I know I was able to apply a link template in the past. Thanks!

I meant that the order_by="title" as I originally had it came from that page. You had me change it to orderby="title" which worked perfectly. If that is how it needs to be written for it to work now, it might be worth your while to change your examples on the short-codes page on your site.

I do understand what you mean about extra characters & code being copied when you copy shortcode. I’ve definitely had that happen before. Now I always paste into a raw text editor first and remove any unnecessary elements.

I just figured out the issue with the items per page being ignored. I originally pulled item_per_page="30" from that same short-codes page but also tried adding it via the download manager widget inside the text block element. When I implemented the items per page, it generated item_per_page="30". I changed it to items_per_page="30" and it works. That is another piece of your short-code examples that should be changed, along with the code your widget generates from the text block element of WPBakery.

Just thought you’d want to know so you can avoid future tickets about it. We appreciate your support & helping us get the alpha sort working so quickly. The client was very happy with the quick fix. It’s a great plugin!

Thanks! The alpha sorting is working again with this change. FYI – I pulled the shortcode I had in place from here: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/

Any idea why the code is also ignoring the number of items to show per page? No matter what I enter it only shows 10. It’s a lesser issue but it would be nice to not have to paginate the downloads since it reloads the page & closes the tab. I’m trying to locate pagination in the theme options since it might be overriding but haven’t found anything yet.

I understand now that it can’t be done the way they want with the cols=2 shortcode. Thank you.

Hi – just checking in to see if you got my reply noting that I didn’t understand your note on March 24th. I’d appreciate a clear answer as to whether or not the alphabetical sorting my client wants is available in a 2 column format and if so, how to do it.

Hi. Thanks for looking at it for us. I’m afraid I don’t understand your response. Are you saying that because of how the bootstrap works, doing 2 columns will make the alphabetical order go left to right across the columns? Is there any way to make the alphabetical order go down the left side then continue down the right side?

Are you saying that the featured image was never a part of the download manager, but really a function from the theme? I could’ve sworn I saw short code in the 3 version’s template area to include the featured image (different from “preview image”).

In any case, the image function is back and we really appreciate you taking care of it for us – especially if it wasn’t a wpdm problem. I’ll remember that code you posted to use with other sites running the same theme so we don’t bother you with this issue again.

Thanks!

How can it be an issue with the theme if the theme supported the featured images before the plugin was updated?

Go figure, immediately after posting this, I logged in & the site looks fine. For 2 days it’s looked totally broken & now looks fine. I have no explanation & I can see you haven’t logged in with the credentials I gave you, but it’s fine now so you can ignore my post from earlier. Thanks!

I apologize for any time you may have invested in this issue.

I noticed this when I updated to 4.2 also. What fixed it? That update was a massive one for my site & I’d like to not have to do it all over again with another update if it’s an easy fix.

Like I said, the UI is jumbled and I don’t see ANY old packages to migrate.

Hi Shaon,

Thanks for the quick response. We actually restructured the section a bit to work with the function. Sorry, but thank you for your time.
