Nice one – glad to hear you got it working. Do you have an archive page? My biggest problem is secure packages showing up in the directory listing, I get constant complaints about it but am trying to wrap a specific div around a “private” category so I can at least do display:none with css.

Custom post will be good – fingers crossed it doesn’t take too long!

Hey Gareth,

Don’t know if this helps but you can actually password protect any page using wordpress core. When you create the page, under the publish options, click visibility: public and it’ll show radio buttons for Public, Password Protected and Private. Click Password Protected and then give it a password. When your users click on the page, all they’ll see is “This post is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:”

Hi there,

Have started new thread as other issues have come to light which probably doesn’t belong in this one.

Thanks,
Angela

Hi there,

Just to add: this also happens if wpeditor is deactivated and also with the jetpack css editor too (although with the jetpack editor, no text shows at all and you can’t even click in the editing window).

Have tried deactivating every plugin but it only stops working with wpdownload manager. The only difference has been moving to a new server lately. Are there any permissions issues or modules that may have caused this?

Thanks,
Angela

Got the same problem. What was the fix for this?

Same here, although downloading the file from the Members>My Order tab and then installing it directly from wordpress was fine for me as a workaround.

Can I get an answer on any of these? I sent login details and have spoken to your live support on Thursday and was told that this would be looked at the same day but I haven’t heard anything and nothing has changed – all the problems are still there. I even bought a new add-on for custom fields that just throws up errors so I can’t use this either.

I appreciate that you’re busy but it would be good if you could give me some idea on what’s happening as the site is overdue to go live and I urgently need the main issues I contacted you with to be fixed before tomorrow.

Thank you,
Angela

Lastly, just one more thing.

When I apply a wrapper class to a category, it just doesn’t render. Also, when I refresh the page and go back into the categories, the wrapper class has disappeared. I wanted to use it in the css to make specific categories display:none on certain pages, but the wrapper class doesn’t actually seem to be applied.

Sorry for all these queries, but lots of little things going wrong that means I’m getting lots of grief from my manager! Would really appreciate help on these.

many thanks!

Angela

Also, while I’m here, in the results listed in the wpdm-archive page, every now and then, I get this error: Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/functions.php on line 530

What can I do about this?

Sorry, this is slightly wrong. It’s the WPDM-archive that’s not showing all the categories. If I use the categories shortcode, I get a plain unformatted list of the 4 top parent categories.

Also, Under the drop-down category buttons, I only have one column of brochures listed. Is this a CSS thing I can fix or is there a way to force this? wpdm-archive cols=2 doesn’t seem to work.

Would appreciate help on this asap as need to release website beta!

Many thanks,
Angela

Hi there,

Thanks for the quick reply. However, I’ve tried this and it doesn’t seem to work. If I place packages in category 1 and category 2, then doing the above:
[wpdm_category id="category1, category2, " item_per_page=10 template="link-template-default.php"] – will show all the packages listed in category1 plus all the packages listed in category2.

However, I wanted it to ONLY show items that were in BOTH category1 and category2 – like a boolean filter.

Is this possible?

Hi Shaon,

Would really appreciate quick reply to this as have a deadline looming today! Could you let me know what I need to enter in the shortcode or template to use boolean combinations?

Thanks!

Hi Shaon,

Sorry to bother you, I was wondering if you could give me an example of the correct syntax to use with this please? I’ve tried [category id=idname1 and idname2] and [category id=catname1 and category id=catname2] but it just shows the first category listed.

Would be grateful for any help you could offer!

Thanks,
Angela

Hi there,

Should be under the Members drop-down on the menu. Under “my orders”. The updated version should be there with your original version.

Hi Shaon,

It’s good to see the new update! Could you let me know if we can use the boolean categories now and the syntax I’d need for them?

Many thanks,
Angela

Can you not pick the email up sent to support@wpdownloadmanager.com as you asked originally? Otherwise, do you have any info on when the update with all these features are likely to take place?

I would also be interested in this functionality. When I asked on another thread for this, you replied with: “yes, but that will require to change in codes” but I am afraid I do not know what this means.

If you are developing this for joelvdberg too, will this become available or can I find out how much these costs will be? I have emailed you as well.

Hi Shaon,

On July 16th you said that the new update would be available in a week. Can you let me know how this is getting on please? Am looking forward to this functionality we discussed.

Otherwise, if you could respond to my email about paying extra for this if necessary then that would be good. I just need to know roughly how much this will be as it’s now become essential I can use these functions.

Thank you,
Angela
