I think something doesn’t work fine in access control add-on.

1. I reassume one more time the problem: I selected already the field “When user is not allowed to download” on Basic > Access Settings as “Hide everything”.

2. I added a package named “test” (I added on wp-admin because I cannot do on front end because the plugin give me an error like I reported to you already in another unsolved thread) and I selected only one specific member assigned to this package (in my case demouser).

3. I login with ANOTHER user on front end and once I go to the page of list of the packages I see and I can download the package “test”. Only If I click on the title of this package I get “access denied”, but I can download the file without any problem and I see it in the list of the packages.

I think that only demouser must see and download this file in the scenario I reported to you here, right?

Hi, I appreciated your reply but it is so incredible that I lost many days to explain this bug so clear and evident. Honestly right now I have found the quality of your support not so good and your plugin so buggy. Easily you can check other my threads still without any solution. Consider that I work with my site and, as I told you many times, I need the site works well.
Strongly I hope to change my mind about your support and your plugin as well but we didn’t start in the right way.
Also I found your plugin not fully translated to my language and I asked already how to complete the translation but also about this question no any reply or solution from your support.

I give you all the details to see the problem. I am trying to be so much co-operative. If you do login with other user and follow my instruction you will see the file “test” in that link menu. The issue is evident because I shared that file only to demouser. So why the other user see this file? Right? Never I used the site you suggested to do video and right now I am working as well. But also if I am working I lost my time to give you all the informations about this issue that continue for many days. Usually when I talk to some support I give the informations and they check and fix. That’s it!

I choose [wpdm_all_packages] shortcode but this show all the files to all users also the files shared to specific user(s). This is no good. I want user can see all the public packages and those shared only to him, the others must not see the package not shared to them. I cannot have this issue because of the privacy law.

I must trashed the file “Polizzi LUL giugno 2022” because every user can see and download it even this file is shared only to user “polca255”.

How fix it?

For the last I think that search short code have to find the package shared to who is searching, right? Otherwise what will search and find? Only public files?

Hi, I go to updates section of the your plugin settings and I click on install for wpdm-archive-page and I click on save. But when I access again to that page I see again “install” button. What’s wrong?
Is there another way to install this addon?

Ah, i see that the above add-on is not included into WordPress Download Manager Special Pack, right? So if it is so I need to buy separately….

The problem is very simple. You added “test” package and shared only to demouser, so if demouser login to the site and go to the file page he should see and download the test package, right?
But if you try to login with demouser credentials that I gave to you before by private message and you go to “file” link menu you don’t see the TEST package.
I hope it’s clearer now.

Hi, the video is not available so I cannot see. Did you try on front end? Because the Ajax search works fine on backend, the problem is on front end. About the related users to assign to the package I think you should add an option so admin choose if search for name or username. Like I told you in my case is useful for name but in every case is really hard select the right user by username because like I told you already the username can be really different respect the name and in this way this feature is not good!

About the conflict If you want you can debug this but I disabled already all the plugins except wpdm plugins. I can ask to Divi support also.
