Thanks for trying, but that plugin will not do what I am looking to do. Maybe I was not clear enough in my previous post. I need to set a unique image for each download. I have ~200 downloads. Setting each one, one by one, is not an option. Setting the same image for all 200 downloads is not an option either. If it was I could just do this with the native plugin’s functionality. Any other ideas?

I would also like to know if there is a way to see a thumbnail of the download if it is an image. I realize you can set the featured image for a download but we have hundreds of downloads. We used the bulk import feature and it does not show any thumbnails. Is there a template that somehow shows these?
