I already had both of the settings enabled and my speed was 10240. I increased it even more to 100000 and the problem still exists.

I’ve resolved this. I had to delete my old linked site name and re-register with the new one.

Thanks for that guidance. I was able to set the root and “select from server” option appeared. I was then able to select a jpg file and downloading worked as expected.

However, I need to be able to post a java .jar file for download. I was able to select it using select from server, but when I saved as draft the file disappeared.

I know .jar is not a default MIME type supported by WordPress, but I did use WP Add MIME Types plugin to add it.
.jar = application/java-archive

How can I successfully add a .jar file as an available download?
