Thank you, this worked to add the purple icon to the Editor view. But can you explain why this happened? Before the update, the Editors were able to see all of the icons. After the update, they see no icons and we had to write special code to show the purple arrow.
Thank you.
it works fine with administrator role. It is NOT working with Editor role.
Are you asking me to log out and then log back in? I have done that, but no change.
it is not there. This is what i see:

Hello, I just updated to the latest version of WPDM (6.8.5) and this issue has happened again. The purple download icon was in place before the update to WPDM. I have not updated elementor or any other plugins – just WPDM has been updated. I can see the purple arrow icon as an administrator, but my editors can no longer see it (and the were able to see it previous to the WPDM update).
I was able to resolve this issue with resetting permissions. Thank you.
I have already contacted my hosting provider, and I have root access to the server. What is the problem, how can I fix it? Which directory the plugin is trying to upload the files to?
I have opened the inspection panel and refreshed the page to confirm that I see network activity logged on refresh. When I try to upload the file, however, I see no errors reflected in the network tab of the developer tools panel.
This appears to be a plugin issue.
As I mentioned in my original post, I have done that to the directories I mentioned. Is there another directory I need to allow read / write permissions to? I have tried /wp-content/uploads and /wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files. Where is the actual upload directory for this plugin? Is there a setting causing it to upload to a temporary directory?
Again, it is showing an upload error, but when it was not showing the upload error it was accepting the PDF file but then converting it to a _BL file, which was not viewable.
Thank you.
Yes, exactly. It’s there for administrator accounts, but it is not there for editors. Prior to a recent update to Elementor, the option was there for Editors as well.
thank you.
Thank you, that worked perfectly.
How do I create a coupon code for only 25 packages?
The role-based discount won’t work because i don’t want all paid packages to be discounted, just from 2 categories.
I have a need for a coupon that applies only to 2 categories, or to all packages in those two categories. The problem is that a coupon code can be assigned only to a single package ID, or globally to all products. If I want to assign a 100% discount coupon to 25 packages, I will to set up 25 individual coupons, each with a unique coupon code? And customers will have to enter 25 coupon codes into the cart if they wish to download all 25 packages? Or is there a different way to manage this?
Is there an option to create a single coupon code that will apply to only a specific category, or to multiple selected packages?
Thanks.
Thank you for the reply.
I am not experiencing any issues uploading files. Please see my original post where I explain I am unable to edit my menus in WordPress at wp-admin/nav-menus.php. To summarize: When I try to edit WordPress menus, there is a timeout error.
My server has plenty of memory and my limits are high enough. What is the memory requirement for WPDM?
Thank you. My server has plenty of memory. What are the memory requirements for WPDM so I can ensure I have enough allocated?
Thank you. I don’t think it will work for me to use roles, since the customers who I want to provide a free download are the same role as normal customers. Is there any other way?
