We followed your advices very carefully – but unfortunately:
1. The latest WPDM Pro version we could get is 6.0.2 (for the Download Manager Plugin from W3 Eden, Inc.) and 5.3.5 (for the separate Premium Package Plugin).
2. switching to another theme (Twenty Twenty-Two) had no impact on the problem.
3. deactivating all plugins (besides the 2-3 needed to run the page) had no impact either.
So since the problem ist still existing I would like to follow your latest advice and share our website’s credentials with you in a private reply.
