Hi, so in theory, the download button I’m seeing must have been there the whole time? We were certain it wasn’t there before, but this must not be the case?

Hi, I’ve gone back to my client and they’re asking was there previously an option to hide the download button on chrome’s PDF viewer here? –

We’re pretty sure users never used to be able to download our files, so are a little confused and trying to think back.

As the plugin is all about protecting downloads, it seems there should be an option to handle this by default without having to ask for custom coding…

Hi,

Looking at the demo link, I can still see a print option in the top right of the frame, which will allow users to download it.

Do you have a BLOB or canvas method that you could incorporate?

Since the purpose of this plugin is to restrict access to PDFs, it would strike me as an obvious feature that should be included as standard to prevent users downloading the PDF once they have access…?

Many thanks.

OK.. this seems a bit of a flaw within the plugin where files are meant to be ‘View only’. How many hours of customization will be needed? And will this effect future plugin updates?

Thanks, that looks like the ‘View and download’ option, as it has a print button in the top right? Is there a way to hide this print button?

Hi,

I’m looking at the extension. I can see 2 x demo buttons –
View and Download
View Only – Password Protected

I can’t seem to get past the password to see the ‘View only’ – the wheel just keeps spinning here
https://snipboard.io/YOuQAw.jpg

Do you have a ‘View only’ demo you can show me?
Many thanks

Hi, I was still having all sorts of issues but I’ve managed to put some fixes in place with css depending on whether the user is logged in / logged out.
The final problem I have is that when using this new PDF template, users can still download via Google Docs here –

Is there any way to disable this?

HI, I can see that works as expected. I wonder why it’s not working for any of my existing downloads :-S

Hi, I can see you’ve selected ‘Single Column with Doc Preview’ on your test doc. I’ve changed all other docs to this template, but nothing has changed :-S
I’ve tried clearing cache’s and logging in using a private browser..

Hi again, just another note to go with my last reply.
Are there any options as to how the PDF opens in the browser? Can it open as a pop up, or will it always use the browsers acrobat extension?

Many thanks
