This is a problem worth promoting to the top of your queue. I just cleared more than 30,000 cache files from a small, low-traffic website. The out-of-control wpdm-cache put us over our host’s file limit, which then limited our site’s operations. The wpdm-cache folder is accumulating more than a megabyte’s worth of cache files per day — and most days we have zero downloads.
This should not be considered a feature request; it is a flaw.
There definitely is some problem with Bootstrap, Chrome, and Download Manager. I can replicate the issue, but I don’t understand it:
1. In WPDM Settings, set Active Bootstrap Version to Bootstrap 3
2. Check Disable Bootstrap JS
3. Clear cache, reload page (URL below): Page IS responsive
4. Reload page again: Page is now NOT responsive.
Yes, I encounter the same issue on the dev site.
And I encounter it with ALL plugins disabled (except Download Manger).
I just didn’t know if it operated the same way without the key being activated there.
I can’t tell if my previous message went through because it’s not appearing here in this thread.
I refreshed the Settings > Basic page again and clicked Save Settings. Here’s the error that appeared:
