I just noticed although the option to select member is there it won’t actually select one or pull up a suggested one when I start typing.
The template is name “partner toolkit” but I think it has something to do with the user access that I mentioned above. I can’t figure out how to unselect “allow access” so i can just allow by member.
One more thing. I selected that Administrators can see the files as well as specific user. They show up as an admin but not the user. It used to work. If I select subscriber and the specific user, it shows up for all subscribers which I don’t want.
Thank you for your quick reply. I reinstalled the Advanced Access control and can see the options but the files are not showing up where they should. I see them in the “my downloads” however they aren’t showing up where I have a template. Does the template code below need updating?
<div class=’media’>
<table width=”100%” border=”0″ cellpadding=”3″>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td height=”10″ colspan=”3″>
<span class=”media-body” style=”text-align: left”>
<p style=”text-align: left; font-size: large;”>[title]<br>
<span style=”font-size: xx-small”>(updated: [update_date])</span> </p>
</span></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<th width=”85%” scope=”col”><span class=”media-body” style=”text-align: left; font-size: x-small;”>[file_list] </span></th>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table></div>
Not working for me either.
that works but why are they blurry?
I’ve been to that link. The images I am wanting to show thumbnails of are the downloads, not featured images.
So will my license work on my live site now?
That’s okay. I decided I’m going to just use the dashboard page since it prompts them to login anyways. I’d like to release the license from the staging site so I can use it on the live site now. Can you do that please?
Thanks for all of your help!
Any idea why it would work for you and not me? I’ll have to figure something else out I guess.
Sorry it still doesn’t work correctly. If I logout as admin and log back in that is when I have the problem. I can’t do any admin functions (edit page, etc.) it kicks me back to the Download manager page. Also, I had to change the bootstrap to 3 because on this page http://stagingweather.wpengine.com/sales-sheets-brochures/ the buttons on the left don’t show up unless I mouse over them. I used the archive shortcode there.
the dashboard page please
I reverted back and am redoing it. How can I avoid it happening again? In the front end settings I selected the pages where I created the login, register, dashboard pages. It seemed when I didn’t do that the links on the login, register and dashboard pages didn’t work. I obviously need to be able to get in the backend of my site but want to be able to redirect members to their dashboard, as an admin it shouldn’t redirect me. It doesn’t give me the usual WordPress login page but the WP Download Manager login page when I go to mysite.com/wp-admin. I must have done something wrong. I would also like to possibly have a different dashboard for some users with user specific info.
I was really hoping you’d say there was a way in to the back end of the site. I can’t even get there to make that change. I’ll have to revert to an older version of the site and redo everything I did yesterday ๐
Help please! now that I redirected this I can’t seem to do anything in the admin part of my website to make changes after I closed out of the backend. It just keeps redirecting me to the dashboard.
Thanks that works!
I think I figured it out. I had the height and the width of the pdf thumbnail mixed up.
How can I change the download buttons in the file list to match?
Odd. I just installed the custom field plugin and now it is working.
Yes. I thought by having it in a table and telling it the exact height of each row they would all line up.
On the screenshot I provided do you see how a couple of the download buttons don’t line up with the others? I know it’s because the thumbnails are different sizes but I’d like for them to be lined up regardless of the size of the thumbnail. Does that make sense?
None of the ones that show up have anything selected as far as who can see it. When i select all visitors in the “controllers” category it shows up with a couple of subcategories but not all. It was never an issue before.
Any ideas on the pdf thumbs not working on the latest version of WPDM?
