Hello again

I have managed to add the CVS (T_nfp_package_u16_youth_coach_test_3_22.csv) and also uploaded via FTP the image files (Ti.U16 syllabus.png,Ti.U16youthacademycover.png,TU16 Youth Academy 1a.png,TU16 Youth Academy 1b.png) to the subfolder ‘download-manager-files’ / ‘Test 24_3_22’.

Please refer to the example packages:
https://nfpsoccer.co.uk/download/ttu16-youth-academy-1a-png/
https://nfpsoccer.co.uk/download/tti-u16-syllabus-png/

The problem seems to be linking the download files to the packages. If I go to ‘Import / Export’ the ‘Test 24_3_22’ folder and upload – whilst the individual files are ‘linked’ the ‘Title’ is the file rather than the ‘file_name’?!
Where there are a ‘group’ (more that 1 file) they message “Sorry! File not found!”

Is ther something I need to do differently after uploading the files by FTP?!

Hope you can help?!

Thanks

Andrew B

Hello
#170464R
I have no idea what this means – what is not happening because of this and how is this resolved, please?
modal window’ due to the ‘featherlight js library‘!

I appreciate that some files may be missing (as they are with the ‘sample’ CSV from Download Manager) – please could you explain how the relevant files are best uploaded to ‘link’ to the ‘Package’ and can this be achieved using the ‘Bulk Upload’ option?

Looking at the ‘sample’ CSV file and the Bulk Import Documentation:

IMPORTANT: The following seems to indicate the ‘link’ from the CSV to the actual ‘download’ file (which I have been trying to get your explanation of)?!
files Absolute file path from your server, if you keep the files in download-manager-files dir, use just file name, if you want to add multiple file, file names are separated by commas and keep them within double quote “/dir/path/file-name-1.ext,/dir2/path2/file-name-2.ext,file-name-3.ext”
——-
I note that some of the fields in the spreadsheet are not explained in the associated documentation.
For example: iconhttp://localhost/icons/box_download.png
previewhttp://localhost/app-icon.png
(Why the ‘localhost’?)
——–
(as previously mentioned)
I also asked specifically about excluding the ‘Comments’ option from ‘Package’ (see screenshot -https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V5t_2tAAnfYxaLz7sbtxhVY7zc4joPEu/view?usp=sharing) – which should be possible via the CSV?!

——–

I look forward to hearing from you soon – with some positive solutions. PLEASE
Thank you.

Could you please just answer the questions
raised!
1.How do we use the Csv upload?
2. How does the bulk upload work, relative to adding the Packages.

I simply want to know the process step by step!
PLEASE!

Good morning
1. YES I have read all the relevant Documentation – that is why I am asking you who should be the expert in Download Manager and therefore help to resolve my queries! This ‘support’ has been going on for over 10 days and we still are no further forward!

2. If you think that there is a conflict with other plugins or the theme – what have you specifically identified that is not working as it should on the Download Manager in our NFP website? Otherwise how can I tell if the issue has been resolved – when I don’t know what the issue is?

3. The ‘protocol’ I refer to is simply a Step-by-Step explanation of how Download Manager should work with uploading the CSV file and using the Bulk Import system that Download Manager has as a feature.
WHAT DOES IT ACTUALLY ACHIEVE AND HOW IS THAT PROCESS BEST DEPLOYED?!

4. If you are unable to help with these simple questions – please can you find someone who can – I have a very unhappy client to appease!

Thank you

Thank you I will give that a try, however could you you tell me exactly the protocol for using the CSV and bulk that you know works, so that I have something to gauge against please.
I assume there must be something on your test site that shows me exactly that – thank you.
Perhaps you can give me me a couple of examples of successful sites that your customers have achieved that would be of use?!

Morning Nayeem
Please could you kindly explain the correct protocol of adding packages using the CSV option.

IMPORTANT – this is urgent I have a client meeting soon!

The aim is to give Subscribers:
1. Package of a number of grouped files
2. The option to downlaod individual files within the package.

How should this be achieved – at what point are the ‘download files’ uploaded and linked to the packages – do we use the Bulk Import option or some other method?!

Step 1 – add data to CSV
Step 1 – upload CSV

Step 3 – ?
Step 4 – ?
Step 4 – ?

Hello
I’ve had another look at this – please can you login to your Test Account @ NFP Soccer and view the Packages (just added via the CSV)

Please look at:
1. Example:
https://nfpsoccer.co.uk/download/1-example-title-x/?ind=1&filename=another-file.doc#locked

This is using the ‘sample’ from the CVS downloaded from Download Manager. (I assume the actual files are not available so the actual ‘download’ doesn’t work!?)
If you click the ‘Download’ button on the individual files nothing happens (except the screen goes dark)?!

6. Example:
https://nfpsoccer.co.uk/download/6-conditioned-game-various/

This allows me to download a Zipped file – however, only 1 of the files is included in the Zip Folder. The other files listed right do not have a download button.

5. Example:
https://nfpsoccer.co.uk/download/5-technical-practice-3-v-2-combination-play/

The download says “Sorry! File not found!” The file listed right does have a download button – nothing happens (except the screen goes dark)?!

Any thoughts / ideas please?

Where does the ‘featured image appear?
Can the featured image be ‘set / included’ using the CSV?

In the same way – can we deselect ‘Allow comments’ ?

Thanks

I think I understand – however, fundamentally not having that function is poor development.
It is a common function used throughout the industry – for example Adobe InDesign will actively identify missing links and update these automatically!

I am disappointed that this wasn’t clarified at the start – we have lost a lot of time waiting for the answer to the very first query raise in this dialogue!

Hello again
I think you are referring to something different!
I’m not referring to an individual template / image in this instance.

What we require is to link each individual ‘Package’ to its corresponding ‘download file’ (which is an image). You will see the file data names in the CSV.

When you are logged in to the account – please see:
https://nfpsoccer.co.uk/download/practice-skills/
This is what it should look like and do.

What seems to be happening when the uploaded ‘download image file’ is linked is:
https://nfpsoccer.co.uk/download/senior3v2attackingcombinationplay_test_copy-png/

Which, as you can see, reconfigures the ‘title’.

To reiterate, all we are expecting is:
1. Bulk Upload all the ‘download image files’
2. Upload the ‘Package’ CSV file

This then should link everything together – and the individual ‘Package’ should be available to Download by the ‘subscriber’.

I hope this helps explain?

NO! I don’t understand?
My understanding is that when the CSV is uploaded the ‘download image’ file name should ‘find’ the link to the actual image.
Are you saying that this is not possible and that every file needs to be ‘manually ‘ linked by going to the ‘Package’ (which has been uploaded via the CSV File) then uploading the ‘download image’ file individually?!
We have over 600 files!

Yes – that’s exactly what I need to do.
Please could you explain the process of uploading the image files and the CSV so that they make the link.

As mentioned, what has happened previously is the image title has overwritten the Title (see screenshots – previously sent).

Thanks AndrewB

OK – this is possibly getting confusing – sorry!
What we need to do in the first instance is ‘link’ the image files to the ‘Packages’.
As we know the CVS is OK to the point of adding ‘Packages’ however, the images to download are not linked (therefore, are ‘missing’).
The aim is to upload the CVS and that the related image fils would ‘automatically’ be linked and, therefore, the Packages would be ready to Download the file.

Hope that clarifies things for you?!

regards

Andrew B

Hi Please refer to my previous notes and screenshot!
The issue is ‘linking’ the image files.
Also, if you refer to my previous note, some of the CSV fields are not explained and there were a couple of specific questions I raised (such as not showing ‘comments’)
Thanks
