HI there,

Please close out the support request above. I appear to have a problem with Firefox browser and that’s causing the problem.
Thanks

Hi, thanks for the response.

The package and file is defintely there. I just rechecked it now. All the historic packages are working fine. It’s just this new one that I added today. It’s not going straight to PDF download but is trying to open the file in Notepad as per the screenshot that I sent across.

Any other suggestions on how this can be fixed?

Thanks

hi Shaon

Just wondering how I can simply hyperlink a string of text to go straight to the download file (without any extra pages or buttons). I can’t see any mention of it in the documentation.

Thanks

Thanks Shaon,
Ok point understood. But if I want to simply hyperlink a piece of text (irrespective of theme) to the download of the file, how do I do that?

Sorry Shaon

But I don’t understand. I have linked the button to the package on Download manager Pro. If you click on the button you’ll see it.

I guess my question all along is how can I very simply hyperlink this button to the file that I have uploaded to DM. Thanks

Thanks Shaon,
I created a new template just with the [download_link] tag, uploaded a datasheet and linked it to a button within my theme. But when I click on the button to download it, it’s still taking me to the package details and not to the download directly. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for this. So, I guess I have to create a link template that will allow people to download the file directly. Is that correct? As I don’t know how to do this using css code, do you have any ready made templates that I could use? Thanks

Hi Shaon

Thanks for the reply and detailed instructions. I’ve deleted the old version and have tried to install the new version but I’m getting an error message as follows:

Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.

Plugin install failed.

Any ideas what could be causing the problem here?

Thanks
