Thank you so much for the amazing customer service and a quick response! Everything is running smoothly again and out IT is working on the upgrade strategy.
The error happened over night, nobody was working on it. So sadly there is no way to reproduce it as we don’t know what caused it.
The php version is 7.4.3 which seems to be to old. Our IT will take care of the upgrade to 8 tomorrow. You think it could be the reason?

But only the first category is displayed. Is there another solution than creating a new parent category for all those?

Hi, I had the same issue.
You just have to add your custom word/text to the download-manager.pot and then to translate it in the translation file of your language.
Then just use the new word/text in your template as [txt=Download Now] for example.
