So it’s no use to me: well that saved me money and more frustration. I take it that the ability to select some files from within a package and download them as a single zip is not available in WPDM then. I think it would be very desirable addition. Can you put it on a wish list?

I had looked at that but

(a) I don’t want to pay for an add on if there’s another way of doing this and

(b) what you say about the File Cart is this: “WPDM – File Cart Add-on will help your site users to select random files from different packages and download the selected files as a custom package”.

I don’t want the users to select random files from different packages, I want them to be able to select them only from one package. It’s not clear from your description there that this is what that add on does. Please can you confirm:

(a) that I could do that with the add on and

(b) that I can’t do that without the add on.

(I think you might sell a lot more of your products and have a lot less work answering questions if you had much more explanation of your products online: a side by side set of codes and what they produce for every add on and for every code would be a huge help to me.)

TIA,

Chris

And for me too now!!! Fascinating, I was looking with more than one browser (I think it was Chrome and Edge but it might have been any two from those and Firefox) and it was there through a number of reloads of the page in the two. What I saw for the newer of the two pages (the EoT) one was a little black icon with a cross in it which seemed a very clear visual representation that there was something wrong. I wonder if this was something to do with a stale cache. I guess I didn’t flush the browser cache and I am also using WP Super Cache on the site. Anyway, sorry to waste your time: whatever it was it clearly fixed itself. Is there a way to mark this as solved? I can’t see one but maybe that’s me or my mental cache?! Thanks for the prompt reply. Would that all my IT problems solved themselves!! Chris

Thanks. Grabbed them. Either weren’t available yesterday or weren’t obvious. Might be worth checking that but I’m happy now!

Follow up on my own question above. OK. I have found how I got the tree view, that was using wpdm_tree. The documentation I could find on that said that using “download_link=”1” would get me direct selection not a jump to the information page about the package so what I have in the page in question ( https://www.coresystemtrust.org.uk/translations/albanian/) now is this:

[wpdm_tree category=”languagealbanian,formatpdf” operator=”AND” download_link=”1″]

and without that, i.e. {wpdm_tree category=”languagealbanian,formatpdf” operator=”AND”}

[wpdm_tree category=”languagealbanian,formatpdf” operator=”AND”]

But they do exactly the same and both show my entire file tree and neither allow direct selection of one or multiple files. I must be doing something wrong but I can’t see what. TIA.
