The last order is on the soon to be live site. That is related to the license I explained in my private email we will be using.. So presumably that may stop working again?
None of the others work so can you please do something so I can use at least one of the three licenses I have bought.
I have given domain details in my private email.
I am not sure how else I am supposed to do this.

You already suggested that (March 21 on this topic) , I bought it and already tried it. It takes too much time to create a group, they don’t need all the extras that come with it. It is too complicated for such simple needs.
It seems downloads manager is not using standard wordpress groups capabilities ?

I really have tried all of them, I narrowed down to this one which is very simple, easy to use and it should work.

I am no longer using train up,I abandoned it as I thought it was not using standard capabilities and was incompatible.
I am ONLY using downloads manager now…
My question: Please let me know a groups plugin which is compatible. thanks

This plugin does lots i don’t need. A lot of work setting up things I don’t need and I still couldn’t achieve the grouping I needed.

I want to group my users so I can allocate eg 20 users at one time to a package. No preview should be available.
Some users see individual personal packages separately.

I have tried half a dozen groups plugins and I can’t get any to work with download manager.
1. hide from everyone preview setting no longer works once I allocate a group
2. group user role permissions just don’t play as they should.

This is a consistent problem with every plugin I use, should I be doing something with the user roles.
Do you know a groups plugin which is compatible?

I have bought the defaults addon expecting this would happen.
It would make sense if default templates selected in settings extended to the tinymce button.

I think you are misunderstanding my request.
I have had to give up on using this plugin for this project.
I needed to update categories, titles, custom fields and extra information to files ALREADY uploaded. 3000 of them.
CSV Ultimate is also not working well for mapping.

I need to first of all EXPORT the data from wordpress. So I have package info.
Then I can join my extra info csv with the wordress data.
The file name and category exports from the database as a code string enclosed in {}..so I can’t easily match my csv file.
Besides, I can’t get csv UPDATE to work. It creates new files every time..no matter what I do.

I have uploaded my files already via ftp. This has created my packages.
I am trying to upload new information & update via csv, however a new package is created each time. This is duplicating my content ( and the file is not found)
How does the CSV import detect if a document ‘already exists’?
Do I need the package id in my csv?
If so…I will also need the file name to help me to match my csv ( this is my unique match to the packages)
If i try to export from the database.
The file field is a complex array.
How can I export post ID, Title and uploaded file name etc .that way I can map my info to the uploaded info.
Or am I missing something here?

Thank you for the quick reply. My only matching field to the imported file package and my csv to import is the document name eg doc5.doc
I presume this uses the newly created post ID to import and update or can I somehow use the doc name?
I am trying to join to sets of information, the only join between the two sets of is the doc name.
I hope this is making sense?

I may be getting some customisation. So I think we can ignore the categories.

Half working is not useful.
I don’t want to have duplicate categories and tags in download manager. ( I already do this with groups for buddypress it’s confusing for the administrator.
Is there a sensible way of adding / synching wordpress default tags and categories to the download manager menu and disabling the download manager categories and tags.
I understand it will need a developer but I need to know if this is just unworkable or not?

Hello Sorry if I am not clear.
I mean the categories and tags on regular wordpress posts.
I want my ordinary posts and download manager packages to be filterable by the same tags and categories as wordpress posts.
Does that make sense?
