In the forum, I saw a message about the “Invalid Key for Download Manager Notifications” issue. I have the same problem.

Per the instructions, I just reinstalled the Download Manager plugin. On the installed plugins page, it shows version “3.0.5”. I assume that this is the current version “5.0.3”? Please advise.

On the Downloads Settings page, I do not see where to enter the license number that you provided above. The license selection box was visible on the plugin version 4.9.2 that I replaced. Please advise.

I have screenshots of these issues, but I do not see how to add them to this message

I entered the key you provided — 96230-35484-73958-71660
I receive an error message: “Invalid License Key!”

Please advise. Thanks

I have a Bluehost account. When I access the Errors page through my cPanel, no errors are displayed.

In any case, I discovered a bug. When the locked form is embedded in a page, the email with the Download link is not issued. When the locked form pops up, then the Download link email is issued. I have tested this multiple times. This only works when the file is hosted on Box.

When the file is hosted locally, the Download link email is sent, but the “Download link is expired” error message is displayed. I believe that the link that is embedded in the email is malformed for the Bluehost server. The link in the email is:
https://oysterriverfinancial.com/?wpdmdl=530&_wpdmkey=5c74a382b533d&refresh=5c74a382b6ac91551147906
The master key is: 5c74a96c7242c
File Download link: https://oysterriverfinancial.com?wpdmdl=530&ind=1551147747816
Perhaps you can see a problem.

I added the code to the template (Bulk), but it did not work. When I submit the form, the system hangs (“please wait”). When I removed the code, it worked fine. I have attached the “functions.php” file. Please advise exactly how/where the code should be inserted. Thanks.

FYI, the syntax of the message is incorrect English. The word “with” should not be there.

Can the “lock-options-iframe.php” template be edited from within the plug-in’s Templates section? I do not see it listed. I can view it through my cPanel. How do I modify the width of the confirmation box and perhaps color? Which line(s) must I modify? (see screenshot)

I may use the embedded form option. I tested it. Looks fine, but the Confirmation box should be wider. And perhaps a different color. Which template controls this and which line(s) must I modify?

Thanks for the assistance.

For whatever reason, the email block is only through my Chrome browser. Works OK with Firefox. I will need to contact Bluehost/Wordpress to unblock my IP address for downloads. If you have seen this problem in the past, please advise how I may resolve this.

And as I noted earlier, the download link generated with WPDM does work when the PDF file is located on Box.net. The download link fails when the PDF file is located on the website’s server.

The site is hosted on WordPress.com via Bluehost. Access to server logs is not provided. And now we have a much worse problem that started a few minutes ago. See screenshot of server response when I try to download any document from the site

Update to my previous message

For those cases in which the form does not appear on the page, it DOES APPEAR on the pop-up box. This is OK for my purposes. Is there a way to modify the pop-up template to make it wider?

The download works fine when the PDF is on Box.Net. Unfortunately, I do lose the PDF stamping feature. I do realize that you disclosed this on the PDF Stamp documentation. This feature would be nice to have, but not absolutely necessary for my purposes. I still would like to know why I am getting the server error when the PDF is stored locally (which would provide the Stamping feature). I suspect that the link in the e-mail is malformed. I can successfully download the PDF when I paste the ID with the directory and Masterkey into a browser tab. The ID/File Download Link that is displayed in the Edit Package page DOES NOT WORK.

Example of a non-working download: (see attached screenshots)

As an example of a working download from an earlier installation:

(though I forgot how I found this — can you advise?)

I see the problem. When you tested it, I had two packages with the same PDF file. Your screenshots were for the “Data Driven Investing (Book)” package. My screenshots were for the “Get the Book” package — the menu is linked to the form, not the package, so behavior is apparently different.

But there is still the problem:
1. When I tested with the “Data Driven Investing (Book)” package, I receive the email as you have shown. However when I click the download link included in the email, I receive a server error (see the screenshot)
2. When I tested with the “Get the Book” form, I receive the emails, but without the download link. As shown in the screenshots I sent earlier
3. As a test, I added a third package. “Get a Copy of Data Driven Investing” and form locked it. However the form does not display — only the package information which I do not want to display anywhere on the — how do I prevent display?
4. As a test, on the menu, I added “Get the Book (Package)” which is form locked. However the form does not display.
5. As a test, on the menu, I added the “DDI Book (Box)” package, the PDF located on Box.net. However the form does not display.

As a test, I added these five options to the menu under “DDI (Book)”. Please look at the behavior and tell me what I am doing wrong.

See the screenshots of my current setup and the server error. I also wish to prevent display of all of this file information. I cannot find a way to do this.

Thanks for your help.

I’m confused. It still is not working. Also, I do not see the response email as shown in the screenshot. In my “Get the Book” form, the text of my “Thank You Message” and “Email Text” are completely different.

See screenshot of the response email (using Form Lock)

Update:
The form in your screenshot is associated with the Email Lock function. I am not using this. Am I supposed to use this in addition to Form Lock?
