Okay. Do you know of a plugin that would help me translate it myself? at least the frontend ?
Or how could i assist to translate it?

I checked the German .po .mo files which I have placed under /downloadmanager/languages
and it seems as there is most translated – but it still shows up in englisch.
So what do I have to do that it uses this language files?
In all other plugins putting the .mo .po files in /languages was all I had to do!?

Good – so now at least the core functions are working. I would never have found out about jetpack being the problem.

there are some more things which don´t work (can´t klick on lock-settings or icon – when you hit create package – it creates the package but all the infos (detail description etc.) stay there so you don´t think that the upload did work and don´t get a new blank page, etc.)
but that´s okay for my purpose.

I want to translate all the fields now in German. I installed the German language files but still most of the plugin comes in English.
Is there an easy way (via a plugin) to translate all the text?

if not – I will live with the english version.

Just for in case – I attached a screenshot to clarify which button I mean.

I mean the button “Dateien Auswählen” on the right side.
All other buttons and stuff is working fine – just the most important one not 🙂

do you mean I have to change my theme in order to get the buttons to upload files running?

Or do you mean in order to get carousel and slider running?

I can live without carousel and slider – but not without the possibility to upload files (that was the main reason why I bought the plugin).
And I don´t want to change the theme. It´s the DIVI theme from elegante themes – a paid very good theme and I don´t want to change it.

I tried twenty-twelve, and twenty-fourteen (standard wp-themes) in both the button to upload files doesn´t work as well.
So either their is still something broken – or can you tell me which theme would work?

Anything I can do to at least bring the front-end up running correctly???

But still the Buttons to select a file or drag and drop – does´t work !??

Okay… solved it myself 🙂

Had to go to Download / Settings / Frontend

I had nothing in the first field: “Allowed User Roles to Create Package From Front-end”

Therefore nothing showed up.

I added Moderator, Administrator etc. and now the front-end shows up.

But now NEXT… When I try to upload something via the frontend – then besides that the presentation of fields is a pretty mess (where can I change all that layout?) I cannot click on the buttons to add a file. Dropping files also does´t work.

I invested allready 3 days in trying to get it run a bit. I hope you can have a look at it sometime.

Found out that this happens for all multi-files.
So if I upload a single file – the download works.
If I upload a package of 2 or more files – I get the 0 byte download.

Okay – I am one step further.
I had to log out to see something.
but the onlything I see then is some login and register fields (see screenshots) and as soon as I am logged in – I see nothing again.

I wanted to see a frontend, where users can upload their own stuff (as seen in the demos).
(parallel I noticed that all downloads only load as a 0 byte file – but I put that in another topic).
