Hi Nayeem,

I did as you instructed but now the download button has disappeared. If you look at the page now you will see what I mean. To undo this I deleted my cloned template but the new “no-buttons” look is still there. What am I missing? What did I do wrong?

Thanks!

This is the current shortcode that we are using:

[wpdm_archive_filter items_per_page=”25″ template=”default” orderby=”title” order=”ASC” cols=1]

Are you saying that we can control the title linking right within this shortcode by adding something like title=”no link”?

Sorry for any confusion on my part, I just don’t understand what you mean. Thanks!

Hi Nayeem,

The link can be found here: https://clearweld.com/documentation-and-white-papers/

On this page, when a user clicks the title of the document (such as “A Competitive Advantage Through Innovation”) it opens the package page (https://clearweld.com/download/a-competitive-advantage-through-innovation/) instead of the actual PDF itself. Is it possible to make the title link behave line the Download button on the right-hand side. When a user clicks the download button the PDF opens in a new tab which is the functionality that we were hoping to achieve.

I guess another alternative would be to disable the title link altogether and only make the download button be the active link. Does that make sense?

Thanks os much!

Thank you Nayeem!

My last hurdle is this:

– Can I link the package title to download the package (open in a new tab) instead of opening the package page?
– If so, can you tell me which template to edit and what I need to change it to?

I understand that the edited template needs to be in a parallel directory in my theme folder, I just don’t know what file/template to edit or what to change it to.

Thank you so much for your help!

Hi Nayeem,

I just wanted to follow up and remove my #3 request since I was able to accomplish this in the new setting panel. What I am struggling with is finding the proper templates to edit and add to my active theme directory. If you could potentially point me in the right direction I can explore further, especially for my #1 request.

Thanks!

Thank you for your help Nayeem!

I was able to purchase the add-on and create a page with the sidebar filters: https://clearweld.com/dev/documents-test/

Here are a few changes that we would like to make:

1. On the left side filter area, can we remove the Filter Date Range?
2. Is it possible to display the results list (the main part of the screen on the right side)in a table instead of the default list? For example, the view that we tend to like more is the way they are displayed as a list here where is displays the categories and tags too: https://clearweld.com/dev/documentation-and-white-papers/
3. Can the Download button open the link in a new tab instead of on the same page?

Again, thank you so much for your help!
