I discovered this shortcode used over a year ago: [wpdm_frontend flaturl=0 logo="logo-url" hide="settings,images,tags"]

This is now active on this page: https://hddsite3.com/upload-page-old-shortcode/

Is this still valid code? If yes, we can password-protect this page and anyone with the password should be able to upload a file and assign the correct category, so it will show up in the correct place in the site, based on the shortcode containing the category ID.

For instance, this page has category ID “agenda”, which brings all uploads in that category into this page: https://hddsite3.com/meeting-minutes/ (password is Quaker)

Is this the intended use for this shortcode? If yes, this solves my problem. With this shortcode [wpdm_dropzone] the person uploading documents is not able to assign a category, which is a problem.

I have successfully enabled Dropzone and am able to upload documents from this page – https://hddsite3.com/upload-page/ but the files are not showing up in the Dropzone list in the WP backend, even though I receive the email alerting me that a file has been uploaded. I have turned off site cacheing, disabled Wordfence Security and Site Ground (hosting company) Optimizer, and deactivated all unnecessary plugins.

Tanvir, you emailed me this shortcode for DropZone: [wpdm_dropzone] and I get this message on the page when I use it: Sorry! You do not have access to DropZone I am using Pro version 6.2.5 in an up-to-date WordPress site using the Divi theme. I would also like documentation on the DropZone feature but can find it anywhere in your site.

I found this older shortcode for WPDM on a page a created last year and it seems to be working on the page below: [wpdm_frontend flaturl=0 logo="logo-url" hide="settings, images, tags"]

https://hddsite3.com/upload-page/

Is this some sort of old legacy code that will stop working, or can I count on it to continue working for my client?

Thanks for your help.
Beth

Thank you for the prompt response Tanvir.

For anyone else having this issue, three fields named Allowed User Roles to Create Package From Front-end, Front-end Administrator Roles, and Author Dashboard Page have been moved to a separate section titled Author Dashboard on Frontend Access settings.
