I’m amazed nobody else has this problem. Perhaps I’ve set it up wrong although it worked fine until a recent update of plugins. I use file-Manager to add a file. I assign a password. I update the package. I then go to download page and alter the reference there to refer to that package for download. I press ‘update’ for that page. all looks good but no password is acceptable when you try to download. Works fine if I drop the password. Seems I have standard basic setup but maybe I’ve selected English-Ireland keyboard or something like that makes me an unusual case causing a failure. Seems like the final ‘return’ when I enter the password is not being received.

Still download manager still won’t allow any downloads if you have a password. Looking at the program working I don’t see anything happen when I press return at end of entering password. I wonder if that final CR is being received as it seems to just sit there as though I was still typing in the password. Just a thought.

I have found in last week the file manager won’t allow any downloads if you have set a password. Works fine if no password so somehow not recognising when we type in correct password. Not sure if related to shortcode issue but try switching off the password and see if it solves your problem.
