Thank you! Is there a way to protect all the files in my media library at once? I’m protecting the files from the media section of WordPress.

I figured out how to put packages into the widget using shortcode but I can’t figure out how to make the spacing correct. It does not show a line break in my code but there is space above and below the package link.
Also is there a way if I wanted to put in the packages using the link instead of shortcode for it to go directly to the document? Inserting it that way takes me to the page template. With the shortcode I was able to do direct URL.

And do you have documentation anywhere for this new media file shortcode or how to protect my media library files in this newest version?

Thank you! I’m a little confused. I thought that with this new update I would not need to create packages for my media library files. Here is a support comment from one of your colleagues: “The above-mentioned media library shortcode will be available in the next version. You have to replace your old links with this new shortcode.

The current option is creating packages for your media library files but direct shortcode will make things easier.”

So I am wondering is there a way to replace my old links with this new shortcode without going through and manually replacing every link?

Hi there! Following up on this topic: Is there any way that I can replace all my old links with the media library shortcode at once with this new version and have everything set to restrict to certain logged in roles? I have hundreds of links on my website that need to be protected and it would be very time consuming and replace the short code on every link individually. Please let me know, thank you!

But adding a new package even using an existing file in the wp file directory will still add new files to the download manager files folder and increase the size of our site correct?
Do you have any recommendations for clearing out the wp uploads folders (folder 2020 for example from your screenshot) of the copies of files that we will now be keeping in download manager? Does that make sense? Like once we bulk import should we delete the files from the original folders in our directory?

That is great news about the direct media library protection. Do you know when that update will be released?

I am also experiencing this problem. When I do quick add it does not create a package id unless I give it a title and then even when it makes a package id, when i click the link it downloads a file named download.not.available.txt that says “Sorry! Download is not available yet.”

Thank you! Is there a way to SHOW the pdf in a new window and not just download it directly?
