Dear Shahriar,
I’ve followed your advises from this thread in order to populate the default list and the drop-down with a specific category’s sub-categories (see attached). However, after the page, containing the shorcode, is being updated, the frontend crashes (also see attached).
If I go back to the page in the admin area, delete/edit the ‘category=”14″‘, save the page, than write again ‘category=”14″‘, the frontend form works normally. But once I edit the page, the form crashes again.
Both when crashed and when working normally, the Element Inspector doesn’t show any JS errors.
Please advise what can be done to ensure that nothing crashes. Thanks.
Anton
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. But is it possible to provide translations for files (name and description) from the admin area?
Hi, thank you for your time and guidance. I’ve re-checked the custom link template and found the error. Issue resolved.
Your answer much appreciated, thank you. The issue was with user permissions.
Unfortunately, the link is currently unavailable, as it is still developed in a localhost environment. The shortcode I’m using is as follows:
[wpdm-archive link_template=”5be2cd5540ae1″ order_by=”post_title” order=”asc” items_per_page=”10″ cat_view=”compact”]
Thank you
Thanks for your reply, regarding file type filter – fair enough. One last question – how can I construct a custom filter? For instance, with out ‘Order’ and ‘Orderby’ filters, as well as without labels (just placeholders)?
Hi,
Yes, I have the Directory plugin installed (as well as the Advanced TinyMCE). However, it’s a bit unclear from the description how to make a drop-down, left alone – a drop-down by file type. I would appreciate any guidance.
