OK. I can’t add screen shots anymore?
I am still not able to have packages show up via the User roles. Please see the screen shots.
You can do whatever you like to resolve the issue.
OK. I did that, but I’m still seeing the issue.
Please read the whole thread above.
I can take the file and place it in a folder in my root directory and download it via a direct link from the same computer with the same connection. It might take 4 minutes or it might take 10 minutes, but it downloads. So it is not a hosting or firewall issue.
That same file when linked through WPDM times out at 3.5 minutes.
AND it was not timing out 2 weeks ago. The only thing that changed was updating to version 4.7.3.
So I need to know if, when you tested it…did the download take more than 3.5 minutes? That was the issue.
If on a fast connection, it would download successfully as long as it was 3.5 minutes or less. If it took longer, I got the time out notice around 3.5 minutes.
And the two notes I was trying to make:
1. It was working fine before the update, no matter how long it took.
2. I can download from my server, outside of WPDMPro. The issue seems to be from within the PHP script.
For example. We use custom icons for our software downloads. Each time there is an update, they get overwritten. See attachment.
Thank you. A couple of quick questions…
1. Did the download take more than 3.5 minutes? That was the issue, that is it took any longer than that, that’s when it timed out. On a faster connection when the download time was less than 3.5, it already worked fine.
2. Will any change you made be written over in the next update?
Any progress?
Please can we get a response.
Any answer on this? It’s kind of a big deal that people can’t download our software.
And yes, I’ve tried it with all the Resumable Downloads/Output Buffering Options.
