The plugin updated today. All of my custom templates were overwritten by the default ones again despite me doing exactly what you said ( {active-theme}/download-manager/page-templates/ )
I don’t have the option “Delete a file when it is detached from a package (Only administrator can use this option)” checked currently, did you already uncheck it in my wordpress system ?
Got it now, thank you
Created directory {active-theme}/download-manager/page-templates/
and put the files there, and now it is working properly.
I checked and my template files were in public_html/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/src/Package/views/page-templates
as advised but they still got overwritten, and there is no /{active-theme}/download-manager/page-templates
directory. Please advise
Ok thank you
So the custom versions should be in /download-manager/src/Packages/views/page-templates
and not only in /{active-theme}/download-manager/page-templates
or else they will be overwritten on update?
The default page templates are not available now because I replaced them again with my custom ones (which were created according to the instructions).
The problem was that after update, the plugin deleted all my custom templates and put in the default ones (then I replaced them with mine again).
Please fix it so that the plugin doesn’t delete the custom templates after update.
?
Again, that is not what I asked about.
How to change the information that displays on the invoice for the SELLER of the download (NOT THE BUYER)? When WPDM Pro is installed on http://www.abc.com then only http://www.abc.com is showing up on the invoice in the seller section. How to change the SELLER information ?
I updated from v6.2.8 to v6.2.9 and after the update the page templates were gone on the 2 sites I have WPDM installed. Please try testing on your end, it should not reset the page templates (currently the update replaces that templates directory with defaults).
I don’t want to provide admin access because the last time I did you left the site devastated completely, can you please check this on your demo instance because it is happening on 2 of my sites
UPDATE: I did as you suggested, even after the option to replace files with same name was enabled, when you click the red trash icon in the package edit to remove an attached file and then you upload another file with the SAME name, the downloadmanager silently FAILS and when you try downloading it only downloads a BLANK file with zero bytes called “download-manager-files”. It’s a bug, I have tested, please fix it so that duplicate file names don’t cause the download to break.
I didn’t notice that “when file already exists” option. Thanks.
However it still shouldn’t show blank icon:
It’s still an issue because it should never show the blank download to the person trying to download it.
I cannot provide you admin login to my site because the last time I did it, you deleted all the plugins and left the site in critical error mode completely crashing it. This issue is not specific to my site so you could test on your demo
It’s in my website configuration I don’t have URL to share, plus it happens for all 3 WPDM Pro installs I tested
I am using php 8.0, no issues with PHP. WPDM Pro license applied correctly. I checked on other sites and this issue is present there too, so it’s not specific to my site only
