While the screens open, I’m unable to delete an existing file, upload a new file which is the basic functionality from my admin viewpoint. I have installed the latest WPDM update for WP 5.5. Things had been working fine for the last 2 years. No new plugins added.
Can you provide a screenshot or give a related URL, if possible, please, give your temporary wp-admin login details in a private reply for checking the issue.

I tried pasting a screen shot but that’s not working here. I tried adding a temporary login plugin to my site but it doesn’t seem to be working properly either. Sigh… Think I’ll try support at HostGator to see if it’s my site that’s a problem.
After working with HostGator tech support, ended up rolling back from WP 5.5 to 5.4.2 and now everything works. There were a few other widgets on my WP 5.5 install that were not operating correctly but now are fine again with 5.4.2. Guess I’ll wait until they get more of the bugs out of WP 5.5 before upgrading.
Consider this closed for me.
