Hello, I’ve installed the free pluggin on my website, but I get an error with the wpdm-functions.php. This happens when I use the shortcode [wpdm_category] and so on.

Could you please share the exact shortcode you are using there?
To insert the correct shortcode use the TinyMCE button add-on https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/advanced-tinymce-button/ It provides an easy graphical interface.
I had the same problem for a long time! But now , I’ve already solved this question
