Want to Edit CSS as download links are white on white

I have no idea why this is suddenly a problem, but the download links on my pages are now white on white and invisible to users. I have manually edited these download-manager files, but the problem persists. I have even deleted these files and no better (saved a local copy)
assets/bootstrap/css/bootstrap.css
assets/bootstrap/css/bootstrap.min.css

firefox inspector tells me these are the right files, and the rules I need to change are for .wpdm-download-link
