Using Download link option causes problems - WordPress Download Manager

We have WordPress 4.1.1, DM v2.79 and we are using a widget to display the download files in our footer.

No problem if we select default template, but if we select “only link/ button” the word download goes across the bottom of the footer.

It was working fine on our much older version of WordPress and DM, they hadn’t been upgraded in months and now we have the problem

Also, I think we had the premium version but we might be over the support time. How can we tell which version we have?
