Show Download Links - WordPress Download Manager

When using the Download Manager, hovering over a download link doesn’t show where the link resolves to.
Meaning, if my actual download link on MySite to MyFileServer was something like this:

http://www.myfilesever.com/databases/july2018/mydatabase.zip

The hover link might show something like:

http://www.mysite.com/databases/#

Is there a setting to change this? Isn’t it bad practice to hide the link? (especially if the “download” is a URL to elsewhere).

Did you ever get help with this/figure out how to resolve this? I’m working with the same thing right now.
