Tahasin.
After the update to 3.3.33, I am experiencing strange behavior on a couple of my sites. In both cases, it’s related to the wpdm_category shortcode.
I’m not really sure how to properly explain, so I’ll share two screenshots which demonstrate what is happening.
The first site was noted yesterday and I downgraded from 3.3.33 to 3.3.32 and the page rendered normally again.
The second site was noticed this morning, after the plugin had auto-updated to 3.3.34. I downgraded to 3.3.32 and it also now looks OK.
I don’t see anything being reported on w.org or here, but now that it’s happened on two of my sites I wanted to bring it to your attention. Glad to provide more information and/or assist in troubleshooting. Thank you!
Hello,
Thanks for reaching out.
Could you please share related URL in a private reply to check the issue?
Regards
I have checked on our test site, and the category shortcode is displaying correctly.
Could you please try deactivating all the plugins except download manager for a potential conflict?
I have narrowed it down not to a plugin, but rather the Astra theme.
I had still been on WP 6.8 – I usually wait a week or so before updating to a new Major version. Astra has released updates for 6.9 compatibility that also weren’t yet installed.
Just now, I’ve upgraded the site to 6.9, and the Astra theme and Astra Pro plugin to their most recent versions. The problem still persists.
While I performed this troubleshooting only on one site, both of the affected sites do have the Astra theme.
Thank you!
Could you please share the login credentials of the staging site in a private reply, to check the issue thoroughly?
Thanks for the details, I will provide you with an update shortly.
The problem has been fixed !!
Please update the plugin to the latest version.
Thank you! I have updated to 3.3.36 and restored [description] to the link template. The output still looks good. Thank you for your prompt attention!
