Short codes not working at all

Hi,

My download page displays all the available downloadable files, that is normal because the short code of the Download page is [wpdm_all_packages].

But, NONE of the other short-codes work ! For example, if I replace [wpdm_all_packages] by [wpdm_tree], then when I go to the Download page as a regular member, no files is displayed. It displays:

[wpdm_tree]
modifier

I don’t understand what the problem is…

What can I do ?

Well I have a new interesting information:

Seeing that none of the short-codes are operational, I have disabled the “WPDM-Extended short-codes” additional plugin, which was supposed to simplify the short-codes implementation.

After having disabled this additional plugin, then the short-codes work again, EXCEPT the [wpdm-tree] that is the one I would like touse !
I have actually set [wpdm_category orderby="title" cols=2] on the Download page and it works, but [wpdm-tree] still does not work.

So the question becomes: how to get the [wpdm-tree] short-code working ??

I agree with you: it should work, but… it does not…

We have disabled the WPDM Extended Short-codes plugin, and we have chosen the [wpdm_category orderby="title" cols=2] short-code.
This one runs properly, it is not the “tree” that we would like, but at least it proposes a layout that looks good enough.

If we use the [wpdm_tree] short code, then the page displays something curious:

[wpdm_tree]
modifier

like if the page does not call any routine to sort the downloadable files, but instead simply display its own content.

If you need a screen-capture, we have to active again the WPDM Extended Short-codes plugin, and change the short-code back to [wpdm_tree]: please confirm that you do need this screen copy.

As you see, no downloadable file is displayed, whereas they are displayed with the [wpdm_all_packages] short-code or with the [wpdm_category orderby="title" cols=2] short-code.

I have checked your screenshot. I have to check from your browser console for the shortcode [wpdm_tree] if there are any errors that exist. I think it may have a conflict between your plugins or theme. can you please enable/disable other plugins for checking, you may also switch the theme to another for checking. Please check and let me know.

Hi Nayeem,

It is not realistic to make a test by activating / disabling every plugin: it is a huge work and would be time consuming !

But we have tried with another Theme: the problem is still there….

Hi Nayeem,

So we have tried a few other themes, and the result is always the same: the [wpdm_tree] short code does not work.

According to your diagnosis, the cause might be a plugin: but it will be very challenging and time consuming to identify which one is guilty !

My co-administrator (who is a more technical guy than me) will try, but we doubt to succeed: fortunately, the current short-code we use is acceptable if not what we would like…
