Short Codes are no longer working

I have the following short code:

[wpdm-archive items_per_page=”10″ order_by=”date” order=”desc” category=”Governing Documents”]

It worked fine. At some point over the last few months, it stopped. On the pages, this text shows up instead of showing the documents.

I am not sure where to begin to work on the problem. I do not know how the underlying system works to know if this is a WordPress problem, a WPDM problem or a directory add-on problem.

In my plugins area the version of Download Manager shows: Version 2.9.86. I clearly see there is a new version. If I might need to install it, I tried to upload it and it would not install because the current one is there. I fear wiping out the current library if I delete the current.

For what it is worth, I have a widget at the bottom of the page with recent uploaded files. It uses WPDM New Downloads and that IS working.

Clearly there is a lot I am unsure about. Please advise at your convenience.
