you need to follow the following steps after you update to v2.7 from v2.6:

  1. Go to Admin Menu Downloads Settings Migrate tab
  2. You will see all files you created with v2.6
  3. Now select around 20-30 files at a time
  4. And click “Save Settings” button
  5. Continue the process for all of the files there
  6. So you have migrated all data from v2.6 to v2.7
  7. Sorry about the trouble, but now you need to re-assign categories to packages
  8. Download and install Advanced TinyMce Button Add-on
  9. You can use the add-on to generate short-codes
  10. As you know, now you can get more free add-ons from here http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/downloads/free-add-ons/

Hi,
I can not upgrade version 2.6 because it looks like there is no migration option in version 2.9. can you send to me the 2.7 and 2.8 version to run a step by step upgrade?
I will wait for a response,
Thank you.

@asiastonevn, Check if you have the Extended Shortcode add-on installed. Please create a new support ticket if the add-on is activated and tree shortcode still not working.

I am using WPDM with SiteOrigin page builder.
After last updates, I have following errors on a page :
Widget Missing WPDM ListPackages

As an error description, I see widget WPDM_ListPackages is not anymore available. Try to find and install missed Plugin.

This error is still present even after rolled back plugins update.

What’s happen ?

Hi @leopoldo,
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Please use the WPDM Packages widget instead by following this.
Then it should look like this.
Thank you

Thanks Kabir.

The solution you suggested me, means that I have to rearrange all my pages, all my categories and all my downloads.
Since it is no longer possible to restore the original document sequences exposed on each page, this will require a lot of work …

The WPDM Widget Pack is not what I need, I need the WPDM ListPackages widget or a way to automatically restore/convert it into a different WPDM widget but with the same functionalities.

Am I the only one who has reported this problem?
If a widget existed, why was it removed for no reason and not reported in the plugin’s change log?

Cheers!

@leopoldo,
We mentioned in 3.2 changelogs:

Rebuilt codebase from the ground
Refreshed UI
Improved asset manager
Custom taxonomy ( wpdmtag ) as download/file tag

The widget was not removed, but we had to change the class name.

Also. please don’t reply under sticky post, create your own topic, we need to delete all replies under sticky topics to keep it clean.
