When clicking on “register” button, then the page just reloads and in the URL is written login/0 (so the “/0” gets added).

please adjust this section too from Downloads > Settings > Frontend Access > Register Page if the page is not set already. I hope it will resolve your issue. If the problem persists, please, give your temporary wp-admin login details in a private reply for checking the issue.
