It would be great if files sent to the ‘download-manager-files’ folder could be organised by date, just like the core WordPress media library uploads folder. E.g.:
2023
– 01
– 02
– 03
– etc
Currently, when a large number of files are added via the plugin over time, the ‘download-manager-files’ folder can become difficult to manage and work with via cPanel File Manager or FTP.

Now wpdm asset manager has pagination and file search option to handle such large number of files in the same folder. However, we also have noted your suggestion and shall do some research on it.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes I noticed the pagination and file search – I was one of the people who requested these and they are very useful features, thank you!
However it is sometimes necessary to access the folder via SFTP or cPanel File Manager, and in these cases a very large volume of files can be problematic.
In my particular case there are tens of thousands of files, and the list is growing!
