I’m experimenting with WPDM Free and would like to know how to control access to files/docs via login. We want users to create an ID and then be approved before accessing restricted files. Adding WPDM to the menu only results in ‘no results found” page. Is this something that we need the Pro version for?

Sorry, its not clear not you are asking for. Please can you elaborate more. i.e. if you facing any problem please share screenshots.

Sorry, I’m not sure how to be more clear.
We want to control access to certain documents by global User ID (ACL) of some sort. Most documents will be public and accessible without approval. Some documents will require a system administrator to approve access before they can be seen because they contain confidential information for customers only. In the Joomla ecosystem this would be done via permissions and a component like DocMan. I am looking for something similar in the WordPress world.
