Hi there,
I just tried migrating my downloads from one site to another. In my WordPress dashboard, I went to Tools > Export and when importing I made sure to check the download option.
However, even though the downloads were imported properly, the files themselves were not. If I look into the details of a download, the associated file shows a size of 0,00 KB.
How can I migrate all my downloads and include the files which, after all, is the most important aspect when importing the downloads?

Hope you are well. For transferring/migrating WPDM, you have to use a good FTP tool or you can also follow this doc too, https://wordpress.org/support/article/moving-wordpress. And keeping old download statistics, you can use your old database too. I hope you have understood. Please check and let me know

we set up the new site from scratch so I am looking for a way to just import the files and downloads. Is this possible?

You can use a good FTP tool or there are also many migrating free plugins available on wordpress.org. please check those. I hope you should get a solution.
