Login to download files help

Hi,

So i have got a pdf document that is only allowed to be downloaded once logged in,

So when i click the login to download link it takes me to the download manager login page, i login and then it shows me a dashboard area link and logout link.

Is there a way if i am already on that download page, to show the same page so they can click the download button without having to click: Dashboard, then Document then download.

Hi i see if i use the url: /wp-login.php/?redirect_to=[this_url] but i created a page called: protected-area with the login form shortcode and then used:

/protected-area/?redirect_to=[this_url] but it does not redirect you to same page you was on like: wp-login.php it takes me to the place where: i need to click dashboard area etc.
