Issue with categories in [wpdm_tree] in 2.7

First off, this is a great plugin. Thank you!

I’m having an issue with categories when using the [wpdm_tree] shortcode. I have a few categories and subcategories set up with slugs. When I upload a file and select the subcategory, the file tree displays the file in each “branch” of the tree. I’ve included a screenshot of what I’m seeing.

I’m running WordPress 3.9.1 on the Twenty Twelve theme. I have 2.7 with Extended Short Codes installed and activated.

An unrelated issue is that in the readme.txt file for 2.7, you make reference to a shortcode [wpdm_all_packages]. I cannot get that to work with either 2.7 or Extended activated.
