I want to offer my download in the sidebar widget. How can I do this? It currently shows the actual shortcode, not the download image as it does if I insert it into a page.

with 2.7 ( http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wordpress-download-manager-v2-7-0/ ) you should be able to use short-code in sidebar

Thanks for the response but the shortcode doesn’t work in the sidebar. It shows the shortcode.

in that case, please this add_filter('widget_text', 'do_shortcode'); at the end of functions.php
