Since updating the plugin yesterday (07/28/2022) when I upload a new PDF file to download won’t download and instead, I am met with “No file is attached with this package!”. However, all of the older uploaded PDF files still work fine. It’s just new PDF files since the update doesn’t work. The direct download link will not work either.

Sorry for this inconvenience.
I think it is a new bug with wpdm free as I tested and found that older versions are okay.
However, in the meantime, please download an older version from here by selecting any older version.
I have forwarded the issue to the developer team. Hope it will be fixed in next update.

I was wondering if this bug had been fixed or not. I know there have been 2-3 updates since I originally posted this thread and I still cannot get new file uploads to work. The file uploads just fine but, when you try to download you still get the “No file is attached with this package!” message.
I have the same issue. Tried to upload several filetypes with no luck. Have to look for a plugin that is more stable
I have the same problem with the free plugin, there are some fix for now (sept-5-2022)? or not yet?
We have the same issue here. I made a post on WordPress but they asked to do it here.
Some more information from our side :
When we use the current latest version of the plugin 3.2.55 we can’t upload files anymore.
They do end up in the file system on the server, but they don’t get saved correctly in the wp_postmeta.
It results in something like this a:1:{i:0;s:0:"";} for the variable __wpdm_files and therefor the file is not linked to the package i guess.
This still worked fine on 3.2.41. Something must have changed after that. We use a Capistrano setup on the server which uses symlinks for the upload folder. I guess this might give issues. I noticed in the settings of the plugin that File Browser Root logic got changed. So it might have to do something with that?
I hope this gets fixed soon. It was a bit annoying that not a single error was thrown when the actual uploaded file couldn’t get linked to the file post object / package. We also prefer not to get stuck on an outdated plugin for our client.

I tried to check the issue from your website but found a blank page like this https://prnt.sc/a7s-BC1-uFHA in the download package page.
There could be issue of theme or plugin conflict. I would suggest to disable all plugins except DM and change the theme to the default 2020 theme to check which theme or plugin is causing the issue..
However, it is topic of another user. I would suggest you to create a new topic here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/forum/download-manager-free/
so that we can inspect the issue properly.
