Hi support
Download manager Free Version 2.5.99 – WordPress 3.8.1
I’m testing the Download Manager Free prior to purchasing and with latest upgrade the ‘file packages’ I have created aren’t deleting when requested, either individually or using ‘bulk’ delete, the actual attached file can be deleted from within the package edit screen, but not the main package itself
Deleting the attached file in the package edit screen also generated a complete blank screen and none of the WordPress admin…. but did delete the uploaded file????
In the package/file delete screen all that happens after pressing ‘delete’ is a white admin screen appears…..? Screenshot attached for reference.
Any suggestions to resolve would be appreciated.
Thanks….. David
in v2.5.99 we already fixed the delete issue, that update specially for the fix. anyhow I’m checking again.
may you please give me a temporary wp-admin login info in a private reply to check the issue.
Hi Shaon
Thanks for the reply – this problem arose when I diligently ‘updated’ plugins when notified there was an update available, the problem didn’t occur in the original version I installed. School boy error I suppose.
7 or 8 files had been loaded, access tested and deleted in the previous version that was installed from the WP plugins directory.
Do you hold an archive package of the previous version which can be supplied and then tested in my site environment?….
Regards
David
Same Problem here. I’ve updated my WP-Site to 3.8.1,updated all plugins, but a few of my other plugins don’t work with it, so i’ve had reinstalleld my Snapshot-Backup from a day before, which is WP 3.5.1. Now i can´t delete any packages. Attached Files yes, packages not.
in last update what we did ( http://wordpress.org/plugins/download-manager/changelog/ )
2.9.9
- Fixed issue with multiple package delete
- Fixed issue with show/hide counter
there was not big change comparing with previous version. so update update every thing should be same as earlier except, now you will be able to use multiple delete.
Hi Shaon
Again thanks for the reply – just deleted the recent installation of this update and reinstalled the plugin from the directory and the bulk delete function works fine now for multiple packages and for selected single ones too. So as far as the deleting of expired downloads is concerned I can complete that task.
However choosing a single item/package and choosing ‘delete permanently’ from the edit/delete option beside the file ID is still not working, so perhaps there is still a problem that needs resolving. Is this the same in the Pro version?
But for now I can continue to evaluate, but its now more likely that I’ll purchase the Pro version for added functionality shortly as the site is nearing completion.
Thanks
David
@pikefisher, ok, i’ll check that. But wpdm pro is in different level, 100s more features and flexibility, you may try the demo to check pro in details.
