exe files converted to .htm

I’ve just tried the plugin, which works great, except when I add .exe files. When I click the link to download the exe file from firefox it downloads with .htm extension. I don’t know if this is an issue with my browser or with plugin. Tried several times, including loading from server folder. All gave the same result.

Any suggestions?
