Some of my customers are receiving this error when trying to register a new account. It seems to occur only for some people and not others, even though OS and browser are the same eg. Windows Chrome.

Hope you are well. And sorry for the inconvenience. It can be your site cache issue too. if possible, can you please, give your temporary wp-admin login details in a private reply for checking the issue?

I have checked your issue. The registration is working properly from your site. if the issue does not appear frequently, I think this could be a cache or session cache issue. You can also able to exclude the registration page from cache from your cache plugin settings. please check.
