Download Manager Stops Working

The website is sequentmicrosystems.com
The download is set to work only if you are logged in. Unfortunately, it does not recognize the login, and when you try to download it asks you to login again. After login you can download. But every day or so, it stops working. Downloads do not work at all, with or without login.
We found out that if we edit a downloadable item and save it without making any changes, the downloads start to work again.

Are these bugs because we did not buy the Pro, or just bugs? Should the free version work here?

From my side, I can download without asking for login again.
